2020 Primary Election

The Maryland Presidential Primary Election will be primarily a "vote by mail" election.  The Board of Elections will mail eligible voters an absentee ballot with a return envelope with prepaid postage which should arrive in early to mid May.  You only need to apply for an absentee ballot if you want your ballot sent to an address different from the one they have on file for you or if you want to download your ballot from their website.

If your address is not up-to-date, go online to update it or provide it to your local board of elections.  The State Board of Elections website has all the information you need about the 2020 Presidential Primary Election.

You can view county-specific Voters' Guides here on our website for Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot Counties; we'll be posting versions appropriate for screen readers soon.  You can also see the candidates who will appear on your ballot and compare their responses to our questions at VOTE411.org; you can even see their photographs there!

If you appreciate our non-partisan, unfiltered Voters' Guides and want us to continue to publish them, please consider making a donation to our Voter Education Fund.  We need your financial support to continue to bring these Guides to our local voters.
